I found this bottle of
Jose behind a red
curtain sitting on a stud
shelf in the club. Some
of the content left. Karen,
while cleaning found the
bottle and threw it away.
I believe she thought I
had stashed it! I took
several pictures of the
bottle "as art" thinking
that it depicted the Yacht
Club very well. So Karen,
I stand by my statement.
I didn't drink the Cuervo!
The Yacht Club is fill full of an amazing history of
sailer's who traveled to this out of the way Atoll.
From basic graphics to some amazing artful
creations. I spent hours scouring the walls and
taking pictures of all the many renderings. The
earliest date seems to be from 1979. The coconut
bar was established in April 2001.  It had been
rumored that a few folks wanted to tear down the
building I'm guessing because it no longer fit the
"purpose" of the atoll? The building is currently
used to house a TV and collection of VCR tapes and
CD's for entertainment purposes.  The East wing
houses some out dated weight training gear. The
West wing a ping pong table. During my four month
stay, I was about the only person to frequent the
club to watch a movie on the ole tube. There was no
regular TV as most of us know it and besides, living
on Palmyra ... Who had time to watch boob-tube
much when there was so many other things to see
and explore!
